Frontline ballistic protection
Frontline kit for people
who are actually there.
One complete setup: vest + helmet, configured for journalists, volunteers and medics working
near live fire and blast risk.
No torso-only frontline setups. Ever.
Not tactical toys.
We only work with serious risk: live fire, blast, potential radiological exposure. If you are close enough to hear incoming rounds or artillery, this is the level of kit you should start from.
Designed around full-body reality.
Most frontline deaths are not “perfect chest shots”. We start with complete vest + helmet as non-negotiable, then tune around weight, mobility and mission.
Who we protect
ShieldX is built for people who can’t “just stay home”.
War correspondents
Journalists and photographers operating near front lines, urban shelling, or critical infrastructure under threat.
- High-visibility & press markings
- Balanced weight for long days outside the vehicle
- Helmet and vest tuned for cameras & comms
Volunteers & NGOs
Humanitarian teams doing evacuations, logistics, or aid work inside artillery and drone range.
- Rugged, field-serviceable components
- Clear size & fit guidance for mixed teams
- Fleet-level procurement support
Medics & rescue teams
On-scene medical and rescue personnel who must move towards blast, not away.
- Mobility-first vest pattern
- Optional groin / neck / shoulder protection
- Layouts designed for medical gear access
ShieldX Frontline Protection Kit
A single, serious starting point: complete kit only. No half measures for frontline work.
Standard configuration
- NIJ-rated ballistic vest (front, back, sides optional)
- Ballistic helmet with suspension & chinstrap
- Field-ready outer fabric, no “fashion plate carriers”
- Designed for long hours in vehicles and on foot
Upgrades & options
- Side plates & partial groin / throat protection
- Helmet rails & mounts for cameras / NV / comms
- Marking options for PRESS / MEDIC / NGO
- Custom sizing and fleet-level kit planning
Every kit starts with vest + helmet as a hard requirement. If your budget only covers a vest with no helmet, we will tell you the truth about that risk instead of pretending it is “enough”.
Typical pricing
≈ USD 1,400
Per complete kit (vest + helmet), including standard international shipping to most hubs. Exact pricing depends on protection level, options and destination.
We do not compete with cheapest-possible gear. We compete with “what you wish you had worn when things went bad.”
Lead time & logistics
- Typical lead time: 2–4 weeks from payment
- Express options possible depending on stock
- We help navigate export / import constraints where applicable
Nuclear & special-threat scenarios
When your risk includes radiological or nuclear exposure on top of kinetic threats, generic plate carriers are not enough.
For nuclear plants, radiological emergencies or EOD teams working around suspected dirty devices, we operate a separate line of full-body nuclear protective suits.
These are not stock items. Every deployment is engineered around your threat profile, decontamination protocol and mission.
If you operate near nuclear facilities, high-value infrastructure or suspected radiological targets, mention this clearly when you contact us.
For nuclear risk tracking
To monitor daily nuclear escalation risk by region, see our companion project:
A public “nuclear risk barometer” designed for civilians, analysts and planners.
Why ShieldX instead of tactical cosplay
We do not sell “gear aesthetics”. We sell minimum-viable survival for real risk.
Ultra-narrow focus
We do not chase every threat type or every customer. Our core work is ballistic and radiological risk near real conflict and critical infrastructure.
No torso-only frontlines
If you are close enough to be hit, you are close enough to need a helmet. We will not pretend a vest-only setup is “frontline ready” just to close a sale.
Honest about limits
No armor is magic. We are explicit about what your kit can and cannot do, so you can make adult decisions about risk instead of relying on marketing.
Talk to a frontline safety advisor
There is no one “perfect” kit. There is a right minimum starting point for your risk, distance and budget.
Tell us where you operate, how close you are to live fire or potential targets, and who you are trying to protect. We will tell you what we would actually wear in your position – and what we would refuse.
What you get after contacting us
- A short written recommendation of what we would actually wear in your position.
- A clear breakdown: minimum acceptable kit vs. optional upgrades.
- A transparent price range per person and an estimated lead time.
If it’s just you, we will help you reach at least one serious kit within your budget. If you are planning for a team (5–50 people), we can help plan sizes, configurations and logistics.
